SPINEA
About Supplier
From innovative ideas to global markets
In the first half of the nineteen nineties, two designers, Bartolomei Janek, and Tibor Fecko, invented and built a unique high-precision reduction gear. The motivation for its development was to eliminate operational deficiencies of industrial robots. In 1997, the first production plant was built on a green field in Prešov, Slovakia. Since it was a new product, the company’s priority was to set up optimal technological processes and also to win the trust of future customers. Through intensive development and sales activities, over the course of several years, SPINEA, s.r.o. started to succeed among other manufacturers of high-precision reduction gears. From 2000, when serial production started, the sales volume grew systematically as a result of securing the first major contract from KUKA.
This growth attracted repeated investments, which resulted in the opening of a second production plant in Prešov in 2007. Further extensive investments, made between 2012 and 2014, brought expansion, with a new production hall and the purchase of additional modern technologies, with the objective to significantly increase the annual production capacity.
In 2018 the new plant in Haniska near Prešov started to take form. The new plant was opened in June 2019. There are all the offices together with the top management situated.
