Perhaps the most complex element in the flow assurance process is the insulation of the end termination points of the pipeline, flowline or risers. "Doghouse" is the generic name given to the engineered connector insulation cover which is a bespoke insulation unit designed to maintain the thermal integrity of the system at the point of connection.
Insulation covers are located at any connection point within a subsea system, at a flowline end termination point (FLET), riser termination point or a flange connection along a pipeline. The covers are designed to be installed either at the surface or subsea by a diver or remote operated vehicle (ROV).

Features
We have a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of insulation covers to suit a broad range of complex and intricate connections in use today
Our design teams have extensive experience in developing bespoke solutions as well as standardised solutions for common connection systems
Generally, engineered connector insulation covers are tailored individually to meet the requirements of each specific system. We can design (using FEA thermal analysis) and manufacture insulation covers to meet almost any size of requirement necessary to satisfy the needs of a project.
