A solventborne gun cleaner cleans spray guns used with primers and clear coats. The UM120W complements the solventborne spray gun cleaner as the UM120W cleans the guns for the waterborne base coat.

Operation

The painter flushes the spray gun using the water gun into a supplied, stainless steel EPA 6H-compliant spray capture tube, in under 10 seconds. Most painters get around 30 spray gun cleanings from the 5 gallons of clean, AQUA KLEEN PGC Cenriched water. The flow-through brush removes overspray and the blow gun dries the spray gun. Dirty water drains into a reservoir and is later treated with COAGKLEEN FP, then filtered for reuse.

Consumables

• AQUA-KLEEN PGC, (part number 102-8200), is used to effectively cut and dissolve paint from spray guns.  Mix 1 container of AQUA-KLEEN PGC with 5 gals (20 L) of water. Many shops effectively clean spray guns with the same solution for 3 months or more before reclaiming the solution.
• COAG-KLEEN FP, (part number 102-8300) is a flocculant used in the water reclaim system on the UM120W and the UG5000W. The clean, recovered water can be reused several times before disposal. The separated paint waste,  when dry, is then disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
• Benefit: Lower disposal costs as the water can be used several times before disposal. The shop becomes “Greener” with a smaller environmental footprint.
• To use, add 2 scoops of COAG-KLEEN FP powder per 5 gals (20L) of spent water. Agitate for 5 minutes then drain through the Uni-ram COAG-KLEEN FP filter system. It removes the absorbed waste paint solids from the water used to clean spray guns.
