HANSHIN's Helix-EO PCD-BI/CI is a device of monitoring the EO gas sterilization process together with a chemical indicator(CI) or a biological indicator(BI), this allows to determine correctly and rapidly the result wether the sterilization or sterilizing condition has been achieved for a lot of hollow devices, tubes, porous and textile supplies which should be used frequently in the health care facilities by checking the cultured state of microorganisms of BI or color change of CI after completion of a sterilization cycle. 

 This Helix Test PCD(Process Challenge Device) is constructed according to the requirements of European standard EN 1422 that the stainless steel tube of 3.0 mm of inner diameter and 4.55 m of length is spiraled and connected directly to the test capsule which can contain a BI or a CI and be sealed one end airtightly by a screw cap. 

 The test is performed in a state that the one end of long helix tube is sealed and it creates a very difficult condition to remove air completely from the PCD and to penetrate EO enough for sterilizing into the PCD, therefore this test is very reliable for releasing the reprocessed items to use and monitoring sterilization process regularly.
