Summary

The harmonic reactor reduces signal distortion or improves power factor by absorbing 5th, 7th, and 11th harmonics generated by L-C tuning filter by being located in serial with low voltage, high voltage, extra high voltage static condenser or a goup of condensers. 

In addition, when there is a harmonic current in a power transformer circuit, it causes high temperature and noise which may cause malfunction or communication error. To solve the problem, R-L-C filter device is used.
