KED SERIES
Industrial Desiccant Air Dryer
It uses an external electric heater (or steam heater) to extend the life of the desiccant and supplies stable compressed air with the lowest dew point. It is especially suitable for places that need to stably use high quality air. The operating cycle is repeatedly switched to the 8-hour cycle which comprises 4 hours of dehumidification 2.5 hours of heating, 1.4 hours of cooling and 6 minutes of intermediate pressure.
- Uses a decompression device to extent the life of the desiccant and reduce noise during decompression.
- Applied overheat prevention device for heater's safety
- Externally heated, extends the life of desiccant without direct thermal contact with the desiccant
- Maintains stable dew point during tower conversion through perfect heating and cooling
- Heats and regenerates desiccants sufficiently, most suitable and widely used to cope with the request for the lowest
Operating Principle
Operating Principle 1
The compressed air flows from air inlet to A-Chamber through the shuttle valve, desiccated and dried, passes through the desiccant screen which is installed to prevent the dust from flowing into the air outlet flows out through Air Outlet through the shuttle valve
Operating Principle 2
Some at the dried compressed air coming out of the Air outlet will be decompressed by purge Air Control Valve and orifice, flow into B-Chamber through purge Flow check valve, regenerate the desiccant (four minutes), and will be discharged into atmosphere through purge Valve and silencer.
Operating Principle 3
When the moisture is fully dried (2.5 hours) in the B-Tower, the heater will stop heating and the regenerated air will be continuously discharged to cool the desiccant (1.4 hours). When the cooling of desiccant is completed in B-Tower, the purge valve will close and the pressure in B-Tower will rise (6 minutes)
Operating Principle 4
When the pressure in of B-Tower rises up to the same level as that in the other tower, the Purge Valve on A-Tower will open and the inlet Valve will close on the left side and open on the right side and A-Tower will begin regeneration process and B-Tower, drying process.
Operating Principle 5
This operating cycle is repeated by switching processes in every 8 hours in the order of 4 hours of drying (desiccation), 2.5 hours of heating, 1.4 hours of cooling, and 6 minutes of pressure increase.
