As of April 1, 2021, I am proud to have become NEC's President and CEO (Representative Director), and I sincerely look forward to your cooperation moving forward.

The year 2020 marked a major turning point for our society. Along with the heightening of uncertainties brought about by COVID-19, people's lifestyles and workstyles, as well as medical, educational, and other social systems as a whole underwent major changes.

Through these changes, we have experienced the great power and value of digital technologies. These digitally spurred social changes are most likely to continue from now on. I would like to see NEC stand at the center and be the driver of these dynamic changes.

In our more than 120 years of history, NEC has nurtured world-class technologies and the capabilities to implement those technologies. We have a responsibility to transform these strengths into the concrete values of safety, security, fairness, and efficiency from the standpoint of the consumer, and to continuously deliver these values to society. I believe that this is exactly what society expects from us, in other words, this is the Purpose of NEC.

To fulfill this Purpose, we endeavor to connect digital technologies and human hopes, and to implement a vision of a brighter future world.
