Special cable manufacturer, Thermal resistance wire, Heating cable, Thermal resistance tube, Insulated wire, Wire for aviation
1. Description
Constant Wattage Heating Cable is ideally suited for applications where a particular watt density is required at all times. As their name suggests, constant wattage heating cables are designed to deliver the same power output irrespective of pipe temperature. Constant Wattage Heating Cable has a parallel circuit construction and provides uniform wattage regardless of temperature. We normally supply Heating Calbes with a braid and outer jacket but cables can also be supplied with just a braid. This conctant wattage heating cable is flexible at most ambient temperatures and can be wrapped around piping and complex fittings.
Constant Wattage heating cable can be used for a wide variety of applications including freeze protection of pipework and vessels and process temperature maintenance. Also we supply two types of constant wattage heating cable ; the general for low wattage and the industrial for high wattage.
Constant Wattage heating cable is highly flexible and withstand at Max. 250°c. Although not suited for overlapping, its constant output makes it an ideal choice for higher temperature applications where higher watt densities are required.

5. Cable installation
(Straight run)
With a single straight run, position cable at the bottom of a horizontal pipe. All parts of heating cable must make intimate contact
with surface to be heated. Use heat conductive putty to fill voids between cable and pipe surface. Wrap adhesive tape every
12” (305mm) around heating cable and pipe to attach the cable.
Minimum insulation resistance acceptable after the system has been installed and thermally insulated: The measurement made by applying 500Vdc between each circuit and ground with the set de-energized and all circuit neutrals isolated from ground.
(Spiral wrapping)
Verify the pitch length (see illustration) prior to installation to ensure you have enough heating cable to finish the job. If you need assistance in determining the pitch length, call your local distributor or All parts of heating cable must make intimate contact with surface to be heated.
