The KNR’s Large scale triaxial testing system is hydraulically actuated with a large diameter triaxial cell suitable for testing samples with large particle sizes such as railway ballast.
The system is capable of both monotonic (static) and dynamic triaxial tests as well as other triaxial tests usually expected from an advanced technologies.
The automatic triaxial system will enable the full automation and control of all test parameters required to perform effective stress and stress path tests from start to finish.
The basic system comprises a real time control module housed in a chassis, a data logger and a computer running test and management software, all connected to a high speed communications and control network.
